Oats Payasam/ Oats kheer recipe



Ingredients :

1. Oats - 1/2 cup
2. Milk - 2 cups
3. Sugar - 3 tbsp
4. Ghee - 1 tbsp
3. Cashews - 8 nos
4. Raisins - 8 nos
5. Cardamom powder - one pinch

Steps to follow :

1. Take a heavy bottom pan, add Oats, Milk and Sugar, then let it boil. Once milk is boiled, turn to low flame and stir occasionally till oats become soft and mushy (it may take 5 minutes on low flame).
2. Once the oats have reached desired consistency, add Cardamom powder  and switch off the flame.
3. Heat a pan and fry cashew nuts till lightly golden color then add raisins, Saute till they turns plump.
4. Garnish oats payasam with fried cashew and raisins.
