Ingredients:
1. Bitter Gourd - 2 cup (finely chopped)
2. Onion - 1
3. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
4. Green Chilli - 2 nos
5. Garlic - 4 cloves
6. Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
7. Water - 1/2 cup
8. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
9. Oil - 2 tbsp
10. Salt to taste
Steps to follow:
1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan add mustard seeds, splutter mustard seeds and then add Curry Leaves, Chopped Green Chilli, Chopped Small Onion and Garlic cloves. Then stir it for few minutes until small onion becomes soft and translucent.
2. Then add finely chopped Bitter guard along with Salt and Turmeric powder and mix it well.
3. Then add 1/2 cup of water , cover and cook for 8-10 minutes in low flame.
4. Uncover the pan check whether the bitter guard is properly cooked. If not, then sprinkle some more water and cover and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
5. Once it is properly cooked and all the water evaporated add Grated coconut and stir for 2 minutes.
Kaippakka Thoran is ready to serve with Rice...!!!
