Beetroot Upperi/ Thoran, Chukandar Sabzi recipe




Ingredients :

1. Beetroot - 1 Cup
2. Grated coconut - 1/4 Cup
3. Small Onion - 6-8 nos
4. Green Chilli - 1 no.
5. Curry Leaves - 1 Sprig
6. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
7. Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
8. Oil - 2 tbsp
9. Salt to taste




Steps to follow :

1. Heat  2 tbsp oil in a pan, add mustard seed and wait until mustard pops then add Curry Leaves, Chopped Small Onion, Chopped Green Chilli.
2. Once the small onion has lightly browned add Chopped Beetroot, Turmeric Powder, Salt to taste.
3. Sprinkle 2 tbsp water and cover with lid. Cook for another five minute in low flame.
4.  Once the beetroot is cooked completely then add grated coconut and stir fry for another two minutes.

Tasty Beetroot Thoran/ Chukandar Sabzi is ready to serve...!!!
